20C is very warm for a hall since you are barely in there, that could mean your living area is way hotter depending what you have your radiators set at. If the hall rad is set to a low setting the hall will never reach 20C so your boiler could be firing constantly to try to hit that temperature.
Why does it matter what the hall is set to when you are not home and in bed, thought you were only using the heating four hours in the evening??? Anyone who recommends leaving the heating on 24/7 (not me) says it saves money when it's on low which would be more like 18C max in the living area.
What has the hall been set to up to now, how come you have been using the gas fire as well as the heating, are you walking around in t-shirts and thin trousers? Wear another layer and put a fleecy blanket on the sofa. Are you double glazed?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
