Okay Osborne has been proved wrong on the economy - we all klnow that now - next question - what to do without losing face or getting egg on face - bright idea;) make lots of big speeches about the ship is not for turning ,sticking to Plan A for Awful and all that , and then turn the ship in the dark or when no ones looking (ie after a few weeks when the budget fuss dies down and Carney comes in July) cos after all those silly voters wont notice the difference... problem is we will... we are all watching his every move!

So a few hundred jobs will go in some emergency services. I would still not class that as austerity.
Well I suppose you can continue to classify anything short of a return to 40's/50's living standards, with families of 11 crammed into 2 bed tenement flats and endemic poverty, as anything you like.
