....like an advert, starting to think you actually work for them, if you dont you should, especially as a marketing manager!

I don't work for FD either but can support what has been said. On the occasions when i have to ring, my call is answered promptly and by a real person. None of this options nonsense.

So why the heck did you join a bank that has its core service as telephone banking

At least FD has good fast pick up time, so long as you do not call in the peak periods. Then that is the same for any bank.

I would not use the 0800 number too much or they will simply tell you to dial the 0845 number....
Which is free with a few tele providers now.

1st class stamp 60p. Last time I called FD it cost me 6p... Now changed call profile so i get free 0845 calls :rotfl:
No need to call ANY 0845 numbers with FD.

Use their 'international' number which is 0113 2345678

Why they don't just use this as their normal number, I don't know. Nice and memorable and costs the same as a normal call, none of this 40p per minute rubbish you get when you call 08s from your mobile. Another USP for them.

(FD's marketing department if you're reading this, let me know when you are hiring ;) )
