Hello everyone. Welcome to the Weekly Spend Challenge. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.
On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. The challenge runs from Sunday to Friday so we don't include Saturdays but feel free to change the rules to suit you and include Saturdays or start on a different day.
Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track. We colour code the results as below:
Green - within budget
Red - overbudget
Purple - zero spend
Orange - made money over the week
This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever.
Moozie was the founder of this challenge and here is a quote taken from her:

Thanks for another thread ETO
I am once again heading for a £60 spend this week. I have emptied my bank this week like i used to which means i can't get away with debit card transactions which i cheat and don't take into account from my £60 cash budget!
As my bank is empty and all my money apart from £60 is left at home (which isn't much lol) it means i can't be doing silly random spending
Hope you all have a good week x0 -
Welcome back everyone.
I've gone for £105 this week.
£70 groceries
£20 petrol
£15 spends
Think it's all going to be spent again this week, and possibly more, but if I do spend more then next week will be really tight.SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -
Hi ETO me again  worked out my budget for the week is £38.41 (all I have left until payday)
I am spending £90.88 on a dishwasher from ebay tomorrow so not sure if that counts as the money was raised by selling another item on ebay.
I'm saying it doesn't count! so £38.41 spendsDF as at 30/12/16

Hi everyone
Thanks ETO for starting us off again this week. Glad the scan went well and sounds like you have a peaceful happy bab! You must both be so excited!
This week I'm pledging £10.00. It feels nice to have some sort of normalcy back again. Going to try to spend half of that but am scared to pledge £5.00 just in case lol!
Have a great weekend everyone!
Cheers

It is really really good, probably the best "challenge" I've joined because as long as you're realistic with your budget, it is not too difficult but you get a real buzz out of it.
Sunday - £10.91 made up of £7.17 Tesco and £3.74 towards something I've been saving up for
Aiming for NSD for the rest of the week, will probably spend a little on Saturday. I have some ebay auctions ending tonight to bring some money in :cool:0 -
Afternoon everyone,
Spends
Sunday - £68.52 on groceries.
Need to not spend anymore on food for the rest of the week.not sure that'll happen.
