Tesco Nokia default sim pin code

So I buy a new phone and want to set up a phone lock request a pin code option so I go into settings and type in default pin code 12345 then I can change the numbers, thats the theory

so I go on tesco mobile website and get the help window box and check the default pin code and they say its 12345 which did not work.

and I know you get 3 attempts to get this correct then after that its goodnight vienna to your phone, I dont think its 12345 or 1234 or 00000 or 0000 and mini sim was already in phone with no paper work when purchased.

Its a Tesco mini sim in my Nokia lumia 510 windows phone, does anyone know the default pin code. thankyou in advance.

I think you have confused the Nokia phone lock code with the SIM PIN , the SIM PIN is the one your enter when you turn on the phone and (depending when you got the SIM ) will be 5555 or a personal code printed on the slip attached to the SIM.

The Nokia code is the one you enter when the phone comes out of standby/keylock (and also to give permission for reset etc) and by default is 12345

Thankyou for reply yes normally you buy a phone and the sim is in the plastic credit card size thing with all the numbers written on it but this phone had the sim card already in the phone, maybe the phone has been used and returned to tesco in the past but the seals were both on the box unbroken, anyway problem solved.

go settings then lock+wallpaper then switch password to on then you can put your own password ie 12345

As for the tesco default sim pin code they say its 12345 which did not work on my sim and thankyou for replys.
