    Morning all!

Not a lot DFW stuff for my today as I am in the house most of the day using lots of leccy! So more of a to do list:-

    - [STRIKE]Take bike to OH's garage so I can declare it SORN (insurance runs out Monday so
MUST be done today despite the rain)[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Stop and get a few bits of veg on the way home for roast[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Been round the house with tub of polyfiller patching up to reduce drafts and therefore saving on leccy[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Make my 5 porridge pots for cheap/quick/filling breakfasts next week[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Declutter living room and the dreaded dresser drawers![/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Declutter mine and DD's clothes for charity collection on Monday, see if DB3 has
    anything to add[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Cleaned bathroom floor[/STRIKE]
    - Cook roast dinner for tea time
    - [STRIKE]While oven is on bake cake and make flapjacks[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Batch cook chilli and bolognese while cooking[/STRIKE]
    - Going to hold off batch cooking the curry until I see what chicken is left over from roast
    - Washing ironing today, iron minimal items!
    - Find ALL the hairbands and kirby grips lying around this damn house and put them all in one place - this will save me buying more every few months when I can't find them!!!
    - Nice relaxing bath and pamper session tonight using all the various toiletries that have survived the declutter

I suppose the decluttering could be DFW, as I'll have less stuff to move when we do move and therefore fewer trips and less fuel :D

    Jx

Have also painted over polyfilled holes with resurrected paint from shed. Looked questionable but managed to save enough to touch in!
Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!

Did a mini shop today including the below bargains :

Had a £1.50 off Irn Bru multipack can voucher. 6 cans plus an extra two free were £2.99. Therefore only paid around 19p per can.

Had a £1.25 off Lynx deo voucher. They were £3 each or 3 for £5. Stocked up on 3 and therefore paid £1.25 each.

I love it when Tesco send me vouchers for stuff I'd buy anywhere. Makes playing the system even sweeter

my month is not going well so far. I'd started the month full of good intentions and have failed miserably. Spent £60 yesterday as started in the pub at 12 with lunch then watched the rugby then on for a curry. Today I feel exhausted and hungover and not rested.

Have decided to give up booze again for a while, possibly until end of April when I have a hen do. Going to try to focus on getting fit and healthy.

Have not got much on this week thankfully but will have to do a food shop and get cat another bag of food and that won't be cheap.

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi All

    Today

    1. Husband cut sons hair at home, this is the 2nd time we've done this and its saving quite a few quid based on previous spend.
    2. Making dinner from the freezer stocks.
    3. Brought home some free food from work.
    4. Bought husband 2 beers for tonight, but nothing for myself. I have a cold so dont really fancy it, but also, looked at the money in my purse and stuck to cash rather than using the card to spend more.
    5. We havent rented any films from the library this weekend. Have been introducing son to the Harry Potter films, he probably cant watch more than the next one as they get a bit scary after that, but he has really enjoyed the first one. 2nd tonight.

Skipping rented movies, and cutting hair at home means we have 'saved' or not spent £24 this weekend.

I also read Queen Frugals Blog of the day, I love that woman, she rocks! I heartily recommend a read if you havent already discovered her.

    All the best

    Bob

Just checking in before I switch off for the night - not a bad weekend, spent £3.40 on top of planned chip spend and bought fuel. Listed everything I'd photographed on Ebay and have 1 watcher so far - woop! Lauradora - I feel your pain!

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend!

Done another MSE thing today - I've declined a credit card increase, since they were willing to offer us an extra £800 I'm guessing our credit files are looking a lot better since paying off the evil CC B! So I think I may try & get a 0% balance transfer for CC H, will check out MSE's soft credit check & see how likely we are to be accepted first.
