Oh, P.S - Forgot to say @Josiebabie - I've been experimenting with a lot less washing powder too, as it doesn't last five minutes if you use the huge amount the manufacturers state on the box. I've got a little measuring cup that I keep in mine - it's 50ml & I use one of those for a wash. Just looked on the box & for hard water areas (which it is here), it recommends 165ml for not very dirty clothes & 230 ml for dirtier ones! I don't have to wash dirty football kit or anything, but we do get pretty muddy down the veggie garden & I still find that my little 50ml measure of powder gets stuff clean....plus I mostly wash everything except white shirts at 30 degrees only. If anyone hasn't tried cutting powder down yet it's well worth it.
2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
    2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!

    • Dinner from meal plan - Pie & veg

    • Check online banking
    • Check for new mystery shopping opportunities
    • Enter some comps
    • Do at least 1 survey, need to get back into this
    • Declutter & flylady

    • Get some free exercise either on my pole or might go for a run, maybe not if those black clouds don't disappear!
    • Free guitar lesson on R0cksmith
    • Either list some things on fleabay or try my hand on the FB selling group, been meaning to do that for a while
    • Declined an invitation to a birthday meal out...I feel a bit mean but he's chosen a restaurant without a set price & I just know we'll end up splitting the bill evenly so even if we go with the best intentions of only ordering a main etc we could end up paying out a lot! Will try & catch them for a drink after my shift.
Hope everyone has a great, MSE day x

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hello All

@Determined NewMS good luck with your interview prep for Thursday.

@Foxgloves - Thats brilliant you could fit into your goal garment already, well done you!

    Me today:

    1. Worked till midday.
    2. Checked bank accounts. Humm. Think we are in for a bumpy ride down to the 25th, if not a crash landing :)
    3. Shopped at Lidl. Left DH and DS in the car, managed to spend £25 and that will do the whole week plus some into next week. Bargains included their Turkey steak which is on offer at £1.30 for a pack at the moment. Not sure of usual price but its a good deal so got 2. Thinking Thai Green curry, stirfries etc.
    4. A customer booked with me today for a few weeks time so thats cash into the coffers.
    5. Have had to spend £12 today on my DS's dance class show for next weekend. (£6 per adult) sucks but you cant pay for classes and then not pay to see their shows.

    Thats me.
