  • Good morning everyone :)

Flying visit as am off shopping to get GDD's birthday sorted out. The thought of spending money is making me jittery, even though I have it planned and saved. I think this is a good sign!

Horrible weather here but it's forecast to improve. I hope the Beeb is correct.

One Amazon parcel to post and more ebay listing later. 6 bags for Oxfam.

Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need them or just want them. Keep warm, safe and well and have a super day :)

    Morning all,

Pouring with rain here, no washing out for me today, will have to go on the airer, I have 3 loads to do.

Dropping dd at work this morning, then OH and I need to go and get some new wiper blades for both cars, one of mine is hanging off.

I think its spag bol for dinner, will go and check my list, either way OH or dd can cook, its my day off :D

Will take the dog out for a long run later if the weather clears up, if not it will be a quick run around the block, she hates getting wet.

I have ordered 2 new made to measure blinds, one for the utility and one for the downstairs loo, they are wipe clean ones, as both of these rooms seem to suffer from damp, so this shoudl be easier co clean, they should arrive today.

    Have good days all xx

    Morning everyone,

Belated birthday wishes for Bitsy, Tru and Goldie.

Halight Good luck to your girls in their exam, my DD1 has a ballet exam next week too.

    FS Enjoy your meal out.

    Molly, LW, Hilstep Hugs.

Have been really busy this week and I am a bit snowed under with marking so I haven't been able to post but I have been reading.

News from the Moorhen nest this week is that DD2 tried out for the county netball training squad on thursday and she got in, I was so proud of her.:D

I am also working out the best way to insure my car for my 17 year old DS to learn in, any tips?

Off to the supermarket in a minute, will try to pop back later.

    Have a lovely day everyone.:)

    Morning all,

I have just had my bath and am preparing for my day. Shopping today as usual for a Saturday and considering how much i spent last Saturday, the cupboards are bare.

The men are both in bed and girls are snoring at my feet (their usual position). I'll go and give the fridge a bit of a clean before anyone gets up as its a job i can do without waking anyone.

Halight, hope the twins do well in their tap exam.

Happy Saturday all (and for those of you who have rain, stay dry).

    animated-smileys-birthday-058.gifSame goes for Goldie

I haven't been reading or posting much lately because of my sight problems, but I do try to get on every day, missed yesterday though:(.
I really can't wait until I see the ophthalmologist next month.

At least we had some good news yesterday, DD has got a new full time job with proper set hours not the zero hour contract that she is on now :j So she can now save up the deposit for a flat, I'm not pushing her out, she desperately wants to have her own little place with her BF.

halight I hope that the girls do well x

Having a lazy day today, I really can't be arsked so I am off to watch the DVD's that the family bought me for Mothers day. :D

Might pop back a bit later on BFN x

I'm being a lazy person today too, BB! Am soooo tired, my get up and go has emigrated I think! Have just decluttered a plate of beans on toast, was lovely at the time but feels like a lump of lead in my tummy now, ate too much I fear!
Need to go to shops for fruit and veg, can't be bothered cos its pouring with rain, but needs must. When I get back I predict a blankie on the couch with a film, as far as I know DD and DS are staying out tonight so I'm going to veg out!!!
    Have a good day all

    Afternoon all,

Just caught up with the second page of the thread from yesterday. Happy birthday for yesterday Goldie:beer: JackieO hope you have a much quieter day today, enjoy the shopping.
Had a lateish start today. I seem to be constantly tired at the moment could sleep the clock round. My get up and go has also got up and gone.
My leg is sore this morning. Still dh and I have cleaned through as usual and changed the beds. We have also had a little walk to the shops for a paper which is all I can manage at the moment but enjoyed the fresh air.
The sun seems to be shining here so am going to peg the bedding out and cross my fingers.
Going to chill this afternoon and maybe watch a film. Tea tonight is tuna steak and chips with salad. Still have some buns left from baking on Thursday. So they will do for afters.
Not much else to report, have a good day all x

  • Do I win? The ultimate OS money saving way is to stay in bed.

I am not winning today though. I have very bad abdominal pains again. I see the consultant on the 28th who will decide what to do with me. I am on a constant rotation of paracetamol, ibuprofen and codeine.

I've had to cancel a visit from my lovely friend who was coming up from London. We were intending to vintage shop and have a nice lunch. Hopefully we can do it next week instead. I've offered to pay her train fare as shed already bought the ticket. So disappointed not to see her.

I'd planned to eat a frozen HM chili tonight so no cooking today. Hubby is making a Bakewell tart at the moment. His turn to look after me now.

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Just also had an email from MrT re their price promise, if you buy on-line they email you after your delivery or in-store it's done at the checkout. I now have a voucher for £1.21 - not loads but it's better in my pocket than theirs!
I have a voucher for £2.15 after my foray into Mr T's on Thursday morning. I shall need some to get veggie sausages soon, so that'll go towards them.;)

Found out that the dog-sitting service local agent has sold the franchise; so my dog-sitting days may be numbered.:( Hopefully I'll know more when she brings Mary to stay with me next weekend.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
