Update Galaxy S i9000
Options
Hi everyone,
I have just bought a galaxy s i9000 so I can try out android but its running old firmware 2.1. I tried connecting it to Samsung Kies which I downloaded today but Kies said that version 2 is incompatible with this device.
How would I go about updating the phone if the software that's supposed to update it doesn't support it?
Thanks in advance

How techie are you feeling? Kies sucks the big one anyway, Odin is much better, but less user friendly.
Or if you want to be even techier, use CyanogenMod, Samsung stopped support for the S1 at v2.3, CM takes it up to 4.1 (possibly 4.2).0 -

Try an older Kies .
The slim rom will void your warranty by the way .
