Anyone else shocked by the 'Archbishop of Canterbury' sketch? So much earlier than watershed too with so many kids watching. Am I just really old fashioned?

Not just because of the swearing either I found it really disrespectful and I'm not even religious myself but was offended on behalf of those that are. Am baffled really?

The best thing to do is to Sky + the programme for an hour or so and watch something else. You can then watch the funny bits and fast forward through all the celebrity-care videos.

Looks like Peter Kays career has gone down the plug hole.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

My kids are 6 and 8 and I thought I would let the stay u to watch comic relief so they could understand what some people have to go through daily just to survive. I then have to sit with them listening to Rowan Atkinson saying shagging and people using language that is unnecessary before the watershed. (I didn't have to but YKWIM)

A lot went over my 6 year old head but my 8 year old got a lot. The kids have donated their pocket money though.
“Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. If you don't listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big, because to them all of it has always been big stuff.”

I must be getting old too because I turned off after the simon cowell "marriage", I was enjoying the sketch until the vicar crossed himself!
Now I like a good joke but somehow it just didn't seem right so early in the evening.
Sorry comic relief but I'm now enjoying local radio on my pc and while happy to put whatever change into a bucket I won't be pressured into £10 donation on the telly.
not everyone knows about donating online (i.e. smaller amounts).
sorry if I sound bad, but times are hard and I just can't afford any more.
    xx

I'm Catholic. I wasn't offended. Please don't be offended on my behalf. That's how funny stuff gets taken off the TV...
