Love seeing your avatar Patty - was at Birmingham this week to see her as a birthday treat. Complete with all the boobs n bloopers and ad libbing she was at her priceless best. Even the Travelodge we stayed in afterwards was good....................:)

People don't really see Mrs Brown as a man - the character is so convincing. And the thing about her character is there is a little bit of her in all of us:D

    Morning all!

If it's any consolation, midwinter, I have to work on Sunday lunchtime :(. I'm not even convinced I'm going to get paid any extra - that can't be right, can it? The happy couple had better be on time. ;)

The oddest thing I ever flew out of Bristol with in my hand luggage was a tin of kidney beans. They didn't know what to make of it but took the pragmatic approach.

Hope you all have a good, wine-filled day, and I'll be thinking of you rolo-polo and sending positive vibes x

Morning everyone! lutzi I wonder if you married us if near Bristle? I was 15 mins late due to hair issues :) all fine then got told had to go now or registrar would run out of time and would have to leave to go to next wedding

That is what you get working for anybody it seems. They are all pushing employees these days - taking away bonuses and reducing pay by 5-10% and no pay rises even when profitable. Hopefully the day will come when the economy picks up and these employees are able to speak with their feet but for now all have to be grateful to be in employment:(

Does anyone know how the half leg of lamb compare on PP please?:D

They are on offer at £4 a kilo which is great value and and cheaper than whole chicken! so I'm gonna stock up on a few!;)

another mse question for you also, are half legs better value than whole legs? ie is there more meat to bone on a half leg for example? I'm guessing because the whole leg has more bone the half is better value!! what do you think? any butchers or MSE'rs done any research in this!!

    Cheers!:)

Both me and OH have got the weekend off :j

has anyone been to the Isle of Man at this time of year?

we have found a trip there, but seems a hell of a long way to travel on a coach :( and especially if the weather is gonna be pants.

can anyone suggest anywhere else to go, either here or abroad, been looking for 4 days in the sun but seems impossible to get a flight out of any northern/midland airport.

we have budgeted ourselves around £400

so, looking/hoping at somewhere in the UK pleaseeeee.

    any suggegstions greatly appreciated..Many Thanks

Dohhhhhhhh, its the isle of white we have seen a trip to, not the isle of man.

I have a bunch of foreign teenagers coming to stay with me this weekend so can't be fiddling around in me pile of receipts in front of them can I? Think of what they would go home and tell their parents!!!

teach them the ways of the womble Patty...traditional British pass-time :)
