There was a problem with a new formulation and people have been able to claim compensation. That's about as much as I know as it came about after I retired from the industry and haven't taken much notice. I know why it happens but it would be too much info at this time of night:rotfl::rotfl:

Yep too much info for explanation now I agree ...but thanks for reminding me with paint conversation as it had disappeared off the bottom of my to do list. Good to know there's a scientist about the house......

Actually I am doing some prep work now - getting plastered with my chianti :rotfl: But don't worry no - fava beans insight :rotfl:

Give them a ring Morgy, from my experience, their customer service was really good.

Sounds just like me as a kid, I told everyone my dad built ships. :D

Well he did in a way, at first he sanded and painted the outside (red leader), he done a bit of welding, then when work dried up a bit they went into refurbishing the interior of ships so he was doing that inbetween and finally when he was too injured to work on board he became a store man.
So in a way he did build ships.

I remember going to a launch, it was fantastic, every worker had family or friends there. Such an atmosphere I've never seen before or since, there were thousands of people touring round the shipyard being shown where the work was done, going into the painthall (which is now a film studio), seeing into the boardroom where the Titanic plans were drawn.
I think I was about 10 but I thought it was fantastic, so many people calling my dad's nicknames and coming over to shake his hand, being told you were getting to see parts of the yard that few got to see. I was buzzing for weeks afterwards.

A new launch was always a big event. Our local yard (Furness) which was latterly Swan Hunters before closing was the same. My youngest brother was an arc welder at the yard and worked on some famous and now infamous ships (Derbyshire). The yard employed women and there were many a tale of what went on in the double bottoms of newbuilds:eek:

Dont know avout paying for a decorator, but I called them up for a fault on my cupinal (sp) woodstain. I paid a fourtune for what looked to me like the best stuff for my greenhouse, and a year later some of it is coming off. Called them, and got sent a voucher for 5 new tins (£150 value!) Stupid me picked up the cheaper tims in B&Q instead of the never developed ones which were £4 more a time, lost out on £20 there!!! (if that makes sense)

INfact, I think we need a new abbreviation on the first page of ITMS, as I use it quiet a lot when I have been out (If That Makes Sense).

Thanks for this dave - so definitely finding some energy for call tomorrow (after Mr T's). Yes it did - make sense that is - tho it took me awhile ( think thats the chianti fuddling brain) - I have been well out of practice and now building my tolerance again, at least I enjoy the taste again now. (Won't be too long now Logie but will taste weirid first few times you try it).

Its because dogs were given bones, and they are high in calcium. Calcium makes the poos white (I believe)

The reason I mentioned it was because cheap off spec titanium dioxide(white pigment) was often used to enhance/hide the colour of cheap dog food and it was about all that was left when the dog had digested what little nutrient there was in the food. A little TiO2 goes a long way and that is waht used to give dog poo it's bright white colour. Don't think it's used so much these days or dog food quality has improved!

I didn't win anything on WH but I decided that DW may as well have a go for the CB. The £10 stake was lost and most of the £25 bonus but then a couple of small wins making about a tenner in the kitty after the bonus was played out. I had a feeling you had to play through about 3 tines the bonus th withdraw anything but was that Ceasars?

nOW SEE, THATS A DIFFERENT (CAPS!) decision/theory/whatever to me. I actually prefer yours, I had always believed it was from lack of bones, although Rebecca gets a bone and I DONT SEE HER POO GO WHITE (MUCH TO MY DISAPPOINTMENT, WHERE AS AN ORANGE CRAYON WILL TURN IT ORANGE, GREEN, GREEN, AND SO ON!) (CAPS AGAIN!!!!! GRRR) so perhaps yours is truer than mine. Why did they want to hide the colour of dog food?? Is it not ALL (caps intended;)) brown?

My god you guys are so quick - I've still to get the hang of that - by the time I've typed a response and posted it I need to re read thread as usually 5 more posts added (and usually gone down a different tack). But thanks Davem and artha for that info - will get on it.

Had a good evening earlier - DD and DS at school music concert - which was really good. Everything from a bit of classical to one direction on the recorder and yr 6 battle of the bands including paranoid. DS gave up guitar but teacher wanted him to do base (so he could make another 'band' with singers etc) but he wasn't having it (strange as he's usually confident). Ended up bribing him - so all practice and 2 performances cost me £15 :o.
