This country does make me laugh.

    Nobody much prepares for snow.

Most winters it snows & the country grinds to a halt.

In the rest of Europe they prepare properly for it & life goes on as normal.

We've got a place abroad where it snows in winter: so we fit snow tyres every October.

    Like everybody else.

So we stay 'operational' even in the worst of snows (& it snows much worse there every winter than the UK has ever seen).

Winter/ snow tyres don't even add much to the cost of motoring when you factor in that you are only wearing out one set of rubber at a time.

Do you have the tyres on a spare set of rims or just change the tyres over? Whats the cost for changing a set of tyres please?
    Awaiting a new sig

Make today your More Than travel ins day!

    x2 per a/c

Gone down to £8.08 but single trip 1 day UK travel ins will cost you about £3.50.

= more money in the T fund
Couldn't you just submit a claim for TCB to match Q's £10?

Hmmm wonder if its possible to dye them. I got a kipling bag I absolutely love but its dark pink colour. I loved that too at first but now feel embarassed with it. Would love the same bag in a blackish or brownish colour, but cant really justify the expense of getting another one.

One set of rims, we just store the spare set of tyres in the garage and get a local garage to swap them over October & Easter.

I have heard of other people getting a spare set of rims from the local scrapyard (about £10 each so £40) so that they can swap over the tyres themselves but that seems like too much effort when it only costs about £10 and 20 mins work for your local garage to change them round incl balancing.

Still finding ways to amuse myself in the 3 hour wait.

Found a big pile of Morrisons cards with the Saturday night numbers to enter on the website.

Then I went to TC and did my Nature Valley receipts - £1.50 in Morrisons, these are actually our favourites. These are the first click snappy things I've done since the Milk Tray and flowers weekend, nothing very much on the lists that we normally buy and I've not been out to collect any trolley refuse, when I do nothing on them matches. But hopefully when these ones go to confirmed I have more to transfer across.

Does anyone know when the end of the next T CC quarter is - seem to think it must be midway through April.

still 10 minites to go, suppose I have to resort to vacuuming now
