I hope the man's able to sort out your waterworks at not too much inconvenience or cost.
    same here - transfusion:(
I guess they have to be careful in case you're a mad cow :rotfl:
I'm on donation number 13 but I couldn't give last week as I'd had my tooth out - I've rebooked for this Wednesday. Can't give platelets as my veins are too deep but I am looking into bone marrow- it is scary though! :o

so a debate for the morning.....is it ok to help yourself to stuff from a skip or two? I will put it to good use, so I think so....
.......and the naughtiness has made me :)
Legally, no. Morally, I'd say yes. Why not? It would only be going, mostly, to landfill anyway. Many a fun hour was spent bin dipping as a child! :rotfl:

At last it's officially spring & my daffs have opened on time :D
Mine are still buried under the snow however the rhubarb and garlic has started to sprout :D

Right - off I go. Enjoy your day, everyone.

PS - My recycling bin is overflowing with these bloody Pyrex stickers - I hope they come soon to take them. :D
I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

Ah, just forgot, and just before I go (you knew I'd be back briefly didn't you?), I've excluded some few items from my Avs M (the one it'll be once it gets completed) - M Ironing Water anyone? (What's wrong with ordinary tap water? - seems to work fine for me.) 'Silly' things like that, I don't consider for inclusion - unless you all now tell me I'm wrong on that for some reason...

    Bye-eee.:)

Possibly you don't live in a hard water area?:)

Is it bad that I had to Google cracket? :o :rotfl:

They gave me the present earlier. It was a little wooden sign in the shape of a trowel saying 'Mum's shed' :D Quite cute :)

Awww! It's the things like this you miss when they grow up and have their own money:)

    Morning guys!!!

We actually have a skip yard and anything that seems like it could be of use goes outside the front of the yard.. Most folks pop their head in and ask, "how much for...." , or offer a donation, others just take what they want. At the end of the day it's recycling, and that's the aim of the game.
We also have had lot of occasions where people need things, so it's good to know where your local skip yards are. For example microwave glass turntables, door handles, doors and waste fittings for toilets are all very popular.

    Morning all
Had a call from dd last night who lives in Bristol (3.5 hour drive away)
She is really fed up as not long moved there and doesn't have many friends there except work colleges. She is very lonely as her days off are different to her bf and when she is off all work colleges are at work iykwim. I would like to do something today to cheer her up. I thought about sending flowers but I don't think she is flowers type. I thought of maybe ordering a balloon in a box but am struggling to find one to deliver today. Also she is popping out today as its her day off and as she lives in top floor flat I'm not sure where the parcel could be left securely if she was out. I'm trying to think of any reserve and collects I could do for today and could ask her to go pick it up but apart from argos I can't think what I could do and at argos she would have to pay herself and I want to do that upfront. I hope this all makes sense and I would really appreciate your help with this. Tia x
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.
