Accessing the internet

I have a samsung galaxy ace and know how to use it access the internet at home and in wi-fi zones, but what do I do to access the internet elsewhere - other ppl seem to be able to.

    You need to enable data (internet) in network settings. Beware that this will cost you if on PAYG, or if on a contract you need have an internet allowance built in.

    It might be under a setting that says something like 'enable data network' or similar in wireless & networks settings

    Thanks. Seem 2 options dont know if i'd need to turn on one of them or both?

    1. 'Use packet data' which it says is to activate data network
    2. 'Data roaming' which it says is to connect to data services when roaming

    Data roaming is for use when you are abroad. You really don't want that enabled as it could cost you big time if you go abroad and it start using data there.

    Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile networks. Makes sure "Data enabled is ticked and Data Roaming is unticked.

    You may have to set up your Access Point Name under Mobile network settings with the details from your provider. You may be able to find them on their website.
