Got a current model S60 - a 2.4 diesel auto. I get 43mpg easily on a motorway run - have had 49 on a long journey with some 50mph limits slowing me down, and it is currently reading 35.1mpg since last refill 230 miles ago with mostly town but a couple of 15 - 20 mile journeys on open road.
S80 is a bit bigger - not much - but same engine, I believe0 -
Its listed on the dealers site so I dont think its a scam, just that they are lazy:

70k in 3 years is on the high side (23k average) but it will probably be an ex lease car or maybe an ex cabdirect private hire car used for airport runs given the scottish registration as they tend to run 3 or 4 year lease contracts.
If its local then worth going to look, check all the paperwork, etc.
'Big' cars are not so popular at the moment and a big car with higher than average mileage is going to be priced accordingly.0 -
Got 2 tall daughters Guys Dad .... S60 pics show that rear leg room is not the best? Is this true in real life?0

That's my feeling KTF, lazy syndrome. I'll go and have a look later.0

Last 4 cars have been Dodge Caliber, Chrysler 300C, Nissan Juke and the S60.
Friends thought Dodge and Juke a bit tight, 300C obviously ok and same people think S60 is good.
Have to say boot isn't the biggest but still ok for a saloon, but S80 should be better.
Oh - and that is definitely an automatic with a tiptronic gearbox with sports mode as well.
Just check if there is a spare wheel or even room for one. Can't get even a skinny one in any recess in my S60, so it sits in a cover in the boot (it was an extra, got brand new 2nd hand from a Volvo breaker on the A1 near St Neots)0 -

Yes, sorry a typo on my previous post, now corrected.0 -
Well I had a quick look today and it's an auto with lovely leather as per the pictures. Initially well-impressed. Wasn't the best of days weather-wise (understatement) so I'll go back later in the week if it's still available. Salesman didn't even brave the weather to speak to me it was so bad.

Volvo chairs are some of the best in the business. Whilst the S80 might not handle like a 5 series, if you want somewhere comfortable to sit on a long journey you cant go wrong.
From the pictures it appears to hide its mileage well so would probably have been all motorway stuff.0
