Yes, but for what period? And what is the new minimum term (normally 18m on an Infinity tariff)?

It states our contract will not alter in anyway and our term is for 1 year. I do what someone else said and get in touch with them before the next term though.

Getting a call back from a BT rep tomorrow asking me to upgrade to infinity for no extra cost, I'm currently on the option 3 package with them unlimited internet upto 5mgs and been told if I upgrade (upto 76mgs I think) will be on a new 18month contract.

Is there anything I need to know before I upgrade?
    I hate migraines.

Bear in mind that with those speeds you could potentially go through the 40GB limit very quickly indeed. This assumes that they are offering you the lower Infinity limit FOC, not the unlimited option?

Does Infinity 2 (up to 80meg) HAVE a download limit? I know Infinity 1 has 40GB and Unlimited options, but I thought Infinity 2 was only Unlimited? (I'm pretty sure that's what it offered me when I checked online).

Its actually a like-for-like switch. So if a users on Unlimited broadband, they get offered a free upgrade to Unlimited BT Infinity 2.

I had it installed for free and the package did remain the same, however when it was time to renew, wow, did the cost go up.
(I actually forgot to renew, and when the bill came through i was shocked).
I was on option 3, then upgraded to infinity option 2 for free when they did install it.
I did have a very good discount, however they would not match it going forward, therefore price increased by 100%.
I think they hope that you will like the fibre optic so much, when its renewal time, you will then keep it.
I am still negotiating with them but they are not budging from £22.75 + £5.15 anytime calls, I was on £13.60 per month for option 3 for unlimited and all calls.
