My friend had 4 children and had growth scan for each of them! She is very petite, 5'2'' and only 7 1/2 stones (always went back to her original weight!). The first time she was very worried, but baby turned out to be over 7 pounds. Second one, they were so concerned, even she started to worry, but baby was over 8! Last two, she just laughed!

I never had a growth scan, but was told my babies were very big, especially the second one, talking about over 10 pounds... As it is, they were both very tall (57 and 60 cm). As I am only 5'2'', they did look big indeed and I was massive, but they were only 8 and 9 pounds which for their height wasn't that much.

Were the measurements done by the same person? If not, ignore them! Was a midwife for years, it depends where they measure from, using the top edge of the pubic bone, or the bottom edge can throw things out by 1-2cms, as can erm- "padding" . I can't recall measurements ever going down, staying the same would be mildly concerning, going down suggests to me that someone's got it wrong somewhere along the line, or the baby has shifted transverse, lying across; at this stage they've still got lots of room to manoeuvre :)
