Happy Birthday Tru xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Morning all,
Happy Birthday Tru and Mr Forever Saving:beer:
I've already wrapped up five parcels this morning, and phoned the docs. I need a blood test so booked that in and checked on my referral for my knee. Apparently I'm on the waiting list but it is up to eight weeks:eek: I did explain that I'm having to lift my knee in and out of the shower but will just have to wait I suppose.
My ds3 has gone off for Red Nose Day dressed in red. He also went to a concert at school last night where his two best friends, girl and boy, sang and played the guitar. He cam home very proud:D
I am about to have a hot shower and get ready. I need to get my boxes together and label up my stuff as I'm doing my first market on Tuesday. A bit nervous but excited.
Best get on, happy Friday. XStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Happy birthday Tru :bdaycake:
Molly I have always had Panasonic combi's and rarely use my big oven. Latest one is one which does not need a turntable, so can take oblong dishes.
((Hugs)) all round, short & sweet as limited signal as we are in the caravan.
Take care everyone, DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -

Happy birthday to truand FS hubby .:beer: hope you both have a lovely day
Day off today , I've taken dd2 to school dressed in a bunny onesy for comic relief :rotfl: when I dropped her off I saw several superheroes, a dinosaur and lots of onesys think they will have a good day
Chilli for tea, I made a base mince yesterday and made a lasagne with half of it which we had last night, I bought a 32p garlic bread to go with the lasagne but forgot to cook it so we will have that with the chilli tonight instead
DH and I were going to a garden centre today for breakfast and a look round , it was DHs idea as they do a 2 for 1 cooked breakfast , anyway it looks like they have stopped doing the offer so DH won't go lol so I've had to make my own breakfast , oh well the thought was there .... I think
Jobs for today , [STRIKE]clean the bathroom[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]clean the kitchen[/STRIKE] I've washed out the cutlery drawer and washed all the cutlery and buffed it , one of my pet hates is streaky cutlery
Clean the kitchen window and dining room then all the windows and doors are done
Hoover upstairs
I need to get a present for my step dad and I don't have a clue , he seems to have everything , I will have to get my thinking cap on
Hope everyone has a lovely day xxx0 -
Hoppy Birdday Tru
Molly I have a combi oven - it's an AEG and I've had it several years, we got it after the old micro turned up its toes. I probably use it more than the big, built-in, very unreliable Tricity oven that has been here since the bungalow was built (mid 70s) and get on well with it.HTH.:o
Oh, and I don't do FB, as you know, but whatever was up yesterday, have a belated (((HUG))) to be going on with.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Yesterday was so lovely, all sunny and warm but today it's back to winter.
The Rev and I stood and looked at our pathetic Christening cakes this morning and had a good laugh. Not sure if DIL2B will see the funny side of them, and believe me, there are several funny sides, not to mention funny tops and bottoms. Mine looks slightly better than the Rev's so I have declared myself the winner.
We plan to present them to DIL2B and then say eagerly, "Now, about your wedding cake..............."
Fast day today so no cooking. At least , no cooking for us. I just have to make choc brownies, mini victoria sponges - new cake pan bought for the occasion - mini quiches, sausage rolls and cheese straws. The sandwiches I will make tomorrow evening, as late as possible. Hoping that after the roast dinner we are having no-one will want much tea, although a know a couple of bottomless pits that will put away whatever we give them.
Off to start preparing for the foodfest.

Hi all. Hugs to those in need and Birthday Greetings!!:D
Spent last night at SILs, chatting, drinking tea, eating ginger biscuits and crocheting my shopping bag from recycled supermarket carrier bags - halfway there now! :T
Tonight OH and I are out at the theatre so a quick tea out of the freezer for us! Some more stuff sold on ebay so I think we should now have enough to see us through to the end of the month - YEAY! I DID IT!! Started the month with NOTHING! :j
I have a question for any knitters out there.... Years ago it was DEFINITELY cheaper to knit your own clothes, but nowadays the price of wool seems to have sky-rocketed. Is it still cheaper to knit your own? Is it the fact that it is better quality that appeals? Or is this a pleasant hobby that you enjoy and the fact that you have something at the end of it is a bonus?Lightbulb moment: -£9,954.31 Current Debt: £0
