free orange broadband via carphone warehouse?

I am thinking of getting an 18m £35 per month orange mobile contract via CPW. There is no mention of free orange BB on the CPW site but the orange site says it is available to existing mobile customers (which I would soon be), so far so good, then it says the following:

" more than three months left on your contract?
Simply restart your contract for the same amount of time. For example, if you're in month five of your 18 month contract, you can stay for another 18 months. You will also need to sign a 12 month broadband contract."

I have no idea what this means, I would be in month 1 of an 18 month contract but I definately want to cancel the phone contract after 18 months (after I have claimed all my cashback) - can I do this. I don't understand the restarting my contract business - can anyone explain in very simple english. This seems a good deal for us because the phone package is just what we want, we get lots of cash back and would hope to save the £15 a month we are paying tiscali for BB (we are out of contract on this).

Thanks

Don't worry what it says on the website, i recently took out a 12 month free line rental deal with OSPS. I phoned cs to see if I could have free broadband and was told I could have it and they confirmed that I did not have to have a 18 month contract, they confirmed that both the mobile and the broadband were 12 month contracts. It's all now set up and they activated the talk service last night.

So now I have a mobile, broadband and all my calls inc international calls for £16 per month, £11 to BT and £5 to Orange. The only calls you have to pay for are 0845 and 0870

I know a lot of people have complained about the Orange bb service but mine has been on for a week now and no problems and no dropped connections. The cs has been very good, they keep phoning to make sure everything is alright.

Although the website says you most have a £30 or over 18/24 month contract. See: http://freebb.orange.co.uk/offerinfo/bbunlimited.cfm

The small print at the bottom confirms that its only a 12 month contract for the BB.

"There's a 12 month contract and existing line rental is still payable. Broadband is subject to availability, compatibility and survey."

Well thanks for your advice. We did as follows:

CPW via quidco (£35 cashback) 18m orange contract (500 any mins and unlimited texts) £35 per month with 11 months free via cash back - and I always get it back. Free Motorola L6 phone (we already have an L7 from last contract so this will bring £25 on ebay. Also £15 chequeback from CPW website. Cancelled tiscali broadband (saving £15 per month and very straightforward - MAC issued almost immediately). Registered for free orange broadband, again very straightforward, free modem arrived within a week and now up and running.

Adding it up and including the savings it is costing us about -£5 per month!
