HMV 2 for 1 on Blue Cross sale

Been to two not closing stores (so BOGOF) and one closing (High Wycombe - NO BOGOF but some big discounts).

Thought the blue cross BOGOF's that I have seen have been excellent...got some awesome bargains :j

Some of the posts on here are ridiculous. Complaining that they didn't get anything on the BOGOF offer.
THIS is why shops are in the positions they are in today. Because people expect everything for next to nothing or for nothing at all. And they expect the world to owe them something.
This time 5-10 years ago no-one had a problem walking into HMV and the likes of it, and hand over £15 for a CD or DVD. Why it's different now is beyond me. If you can't afford it then don't buy it, if you want it and you can afford it then buy it!
Then you get people complaining about the attitude of staff, well just remember that they are wondering where their next paycheck is coming from, and that they're losing their job. And with the attitudes of some people going into them I totally see why they aren't helpful etc.

I have always shopped in HMV, never went anywhere else for my CD's and DVD's I have always found their prices reasonable. From their 3 for £10 offers to getting DVD's for £3. To being able to getting my DVD boxsets and albums without walking in and not having them in stock. They always had plenty of stock and if there wasn't any, I was always helped. I've been in one of my local HMV stores which is closing down (the other one isn't as of yet) and there was nothing really appealed to me, but I didn't come out complaining and giving off. I accepted it and moved on and felt sorry for those people in the store who were losing their jobs!

You can't blame people for not wanting to pay £15 for a cd when they know they can get it online for a lot less. You have to remember the recession and some people simply don't have the amount of spare cash as they used to so why shouldn't they try and find the best price for a cd or dvd?!

I don't think the ridiculous claim of 'people wanting something for nothing' is the cause of HMV's downfall, it was purely down to their prices and selection, which to me was always poor.

Just back in from the Belfast City Center HMV store. They had signs all over the place advertising the BOGOF offer and it's this week only. There was LOADS f stuff on sale. On the 2nd and 3rd floors near enough all the CD's and DVD's were on offer. I've just completed me ER series collection, my CSI collection and picked up some new DVD's for the classroom aswell :-)
My sister was with me and she got 2 pairs of Bob Marley Headphones for £100! when they should have been £100 each. She got a new iPad cover aswell as a Kindle cover for her daughter.

I bought 2 CD's that are not long out also, £13 for one and £10 for another, out of interest I went across the street to Tescos and priced the same ones. The Cd for £13 was the same rice and the one for £10 was £12 in Tescos.

Cardiff are also doing BOGOF all this week, all seemed to be the rubbish stuff though.

Southampton Bogof was rubbish IMO, may be more use to others though, horses for courses and all that!

chester store had the bogof sale on. we bought a samsung note for £399 and got another one free. bargain!
