Mobile Backlight Problem!

Hello Everyone! Last year on December, I purchased a new mobile phone. Made and Model: Nokia 110. I know it's cheap though. Recently, the backlight of the phone starts to flicker until it totally darkened and I can't see anything. This starts when I downloaded an application (Wattpad). What could be the probable cause? Is the application the reason? I deleted now the application but still, it's dark. What to do? Does backlight problem covered by the the "1 year warranty" of the phone? Thanks!

Yes, it does if this is not a result of some damage.
However, AFAIK, Nokia manufacturer's warranty is 2 years, not 1.
