I have a look at the letter before I pay anything to the Royal Mail! If it's important I pay for it, if it's junk then I say to the to destroy it.

My vets did the same thing when the cats' booster reminder came through a couple of weeks ago. My postie put it through the door anyway and I haven't taken myself to the nearest post office to pay up, although I will be letting the vets know when I go in today.

The attitude of the guy you spoke to stinks, though. Make sure you get taken off their mailing list. Why could he not have offered you and your pals a pound each off next time you were in and left your name with the door staff? Obviously doesn't want people going to his club  I hate poor customer service, there's no excuse for it. Skipping a stamp when you're sticking them on hundreds of flyers, I can understand. Compounding it with rudeness, just why?

    Rant over :)

Was the guy you spoke to the manager?

Ring the club, ask for a copy of their complaints procedure, and make a complaint against the employee who said this to you. Take it as high as you need to, assuming these idiots are part of a chain........

A house brick won't fit in the post box.. instead stick heavy heavy old magazines in instead as they'll fit in just fine.

I suspect that the person you spoke to was not the manager and I would like to hope that he would be horrified that his staff spoke to you like that! I would write to him, marked 'Personal', so no-one else opens it and complain about the service you have received on both occasions. I think it is worth sending a letter, just to put your annoyance down in writing and you never know what you'll get in return! Hopefully free entry and free drinks!

Find out the name of the nightclub employee who was rude, follow him home to get his address then wait until they are all in bed and then firebomb their house.

That's what I'd do, but then I am insane.

Alternatively I'd just vent on here and then forget about it.

The choice is simple, firebomb to kill or maim or to ignore it.

Why? What are you objecting to?

Is it my slight sarcasm in regard to the OP wanting to get revenge on someone who probably won't even realise it, or probably not care (i.e. if you send an unstamped letter to the nightclub, the owner cops for the charge, not the employee) and that she is probably better off just laughing it off and ignoring it

Or do you believe that I am actually inciting a firebomb attack and that the OP, not realising the irony in the post will act on it and is, as we speak, filling up a milk bottle with petrol?

What's wrong with me today? So unlike me to be posting sarky comments.

I was supposed to have a telephone interview and they didn't bother. I only got 5 hrs sleep last night because I'm doing a payroll qualification and have to get it finished and I need to do my books for my business and still haven't. I also have not seen my family more than 2 days in the last month and I also have a cold coming on. Hmnnnn, I wonder if any of that has anything to do with it?

I'm not posting again until I'm happy. Sorry for the sarcasm!
