Letter recieved no stamp

Hi everyone

Now being a money saver I was not happy this morning when I recieved a letter without a stamp and had to pay for it - it was only £1.24 but still!!

It was from a local nightclub who have my details on their system. I called them to explain what had happen and to see if they would refund me the money as it was their mistake and the guy said I could "stick it up my ****"!!

I couldnt believe it - so my question is, is there anything I can do? Surely they cant treat people this way and get away with it?

Any help gratefully recieved!

  • I would send them a A4 size envelope with an old newspaper inside to add a bit of weight to it, mark it urgent fao general manager and neglect to put a stamp on it when you post it

Lol! Like it! Maybe add a brick or something equally as weighty
Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

I agree with blue sunshine especially as i was a company.

I was posted something from someone on an ebay forum once which was heavier than the 2nd class stamp and had to pay £1.24 too. I'm sure she would have been horrified had she known but it's different from a company.

It's not worth wasting your time on. Don't give them your custom in future. The Post office are the ones who ripped you off for a pound of that money.
They've done the dirty on you , do the dirty on them. The pound charged by the post office is a handling charge to deter people from sending post with no or incorrect postage on it .They make their money from postage so they're not gonna do it for free .Would you work for nothing ??

Or you could not have accepted the letter in the first place. If it was important then they soon would have written to you again. The postman would then have just taken the letter away with him - no charge to you!
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:

Go to the nightclub one night, then set the fire alarm off when it's full.
