PPI when a credit card passes to other bank.

I rang back today to seek clarification on my Final response letter,
24 hours after being told NO, as I have reiterated that hfc settled for one period and hbos were supposed to look at the other, that now suprise suprise they now wish to escalate my complaint and it would appear that as it wasnt a gesture of goodwill, I could be due another payment.
So when is no really no? Wasting my time I think not!0 -

If by wasting my time as you put it could see me gain around 1/20th of my annual income for a few minutes of my time...
I really wonder why people bother to post things that dont offer anything positive...no it doesnt mean automatic success, if at all but I thought the forum purpose was to share learning and experience of dealing with reclaiming ppi.
Some of the posts on my thread in my opinion seem to miss the object of the forum..Moneyineptitude wrote: »Doesn't mean automatic success, of course.
I still think you are wasting your time...0 -
The object of the forum is open discussion about PPI.Some of the posts on my thread in my opinion seem to miss the object of the forum..
This thread is about lack of realistic chance that you have of a further refund on your PPI.
If you don't like the answers you receive here, the obvious thing to do is not to respond to them.
I still say you are wasting your time because the Bank's call centre (who you telephoned) does not adjudicate on your concerns and all they have done by "escalating" your complaint is to pass it on to someone who will very likely not uphold it.0 -
I have a letter which states I am due a further repayment mentioned in my first post.
Your posts dont offer any positive insight into how I move the matter on. Your comments and opinion is of the negative, thats fine by me. As I started the thread if you dont agree with how I am trying to share my experience, my advice would be to not waste your time in posting. Your comments dont offer any insight or practical advice other than doom and negativity, your not employed by a bank are you?
This thread is about my claim one of six, the others I have won.Moneyineptitude wrote: »The object of the forum is open discussion about PPI.

In your letter, it merely suggests (your words) that HBOS may take up the issue.I have a letter which states I am due a further repayment mentioned in my first post.
It seems to me that HBOS never had any intention of "taking up the issue" and that they regard the issue of mis-sale as having been dealt with already. In this letter it stated that the matter of transfer would suggest that HBOS would take up the issue and get back to me as soon as possible.
People who man the call centre phones are trained to be sympathetic to customer concerns, but they really should not comment on likely success or failure.
As for any other personal comments here, they are off topic and not constructive. Please stick to discussion of the topic.

Thank you for taking so much time, in something you consider a waste of my time.
