We stayed at the grange in Bracknell with our grandson last year. Slap bang in the centre. Two minute walk to the bust station, direct into the park. (We had no car as we flew over but there is car parking )

    Breakfast was really good

We had our meals at weatherspoons which was a five minute walk

The hotel was bunged with kids on legoland holidays and the odd business person

Rooms were well appointed, with fridge. I think they also have apartments

We booked via the legoland site and added extra nights directly with the hotel as we were also seeing London
  • there is a legoland hotel on site which opened last year- but boy is it expensive!

Far cheaper to stay elsewhere, drive to legoland, pay the parking (was £2 but bound to be more) and pay the entrance costs!

We stayed at the Travelodge in Slough last summer and found it to be good. It is right next to a huge Sainsbury's so we bought our lunch in there to save buying the overpriced and rubbish food inside the park itself. Nobody checks your bags!

Also we had breakfast in Sainsbury's which was a lot cheaper than in the Travelodge.

The journey from there to Legoland is fine but do follow the "alternative route" sign when you see it as it quicker although a longer distance.

Don't know if this is any use to the OP, but remember you can get tickets for Legoland with Nectar points!

We always stay at the Travelodge in Slough, and you can get some bery reasonable deals if you go out of season.

Last time I went they were preparing to open the Legoland hotel. It looks amazing but its eyewateringly expensive, just like the Alton Towers ones.

Looking at the slough travelogue it says they don't have a car park. Is this a problem? We're looking at staying fri & sat night, spending sat & sun at legoland so will be backwards and forwards and will want to know we can get parked! Also looked at the Bracknell travelodge and they've got limited spaces. Can anyone advise?
