I only have 1 account, but I only share comps with friends in a group I've created within my friends list. (I tag the company in share so they can see it too.) That way I can share comps with those who want to see them and not spam those who don't.
I have had to verify a couple of times now
Mr GB has NO comping friends as he only enters a few he spots as I'm comping! He also shares with a very small group of RL friends who may be interested. He also had to verify, so it may have been one of those?

When iI come across a L&S now, I'm posting on the thread that I'd love to enter & have liked, but as I've had problems with my account and L&S are against FB rules I'm not prepared to share. A few fellow compers are doing the same. Anyone care to join the game ? It's fun - LOL!

I'm with Jaibaby on this. Sadly it is a fact of life that those people who like to cheat/bend the rules/cut corners etc sadly always ruin it for those people who play fair and square. Happens in so many walks of life.

One good thing though now, my newsfeed is not swamped with spam from prolific like and sharers. I only have a handful of comp friends as I view Facebook as what it really is meant for and that is "Social Networking" not a competition website which sadly many people seem to think it is.

I also have consideration for my friends and family and refuse point blank to swamp their walls with spam. Unlike some prolific likers and sharers who basically do not give a damn how anyone else feels apart from themselves, in the hope of winning a sad little creme egg or bag of crisps :rotfl:

Personally there is a part of me that is quite happy this has happened although I do sympathise with genuine people who have no access to their Facebook account. I hate with a passion this pathetic like/share/tag/vote that has been around for the last couple of years and hopefully the people with multiple accounts/fake accounts/cheaters have now had their comeuppance! As they say, what goes around comes around.

PS when I talk about cheater/fake accounts etc I am NOT pointing the finger at anyone just talking in general as sadly there are many of them out there and who knows, maybe some even frequent these forums?

Be careful also that rogue apps may be adding to the problem. I was at work last Friday when I had a text from my partner, asking me why I was on facebook.

I wasnt.... it was some APP spamming my timeline and my friends with adverts, so I removed it when I got home. But most apps i aprove say "can we post on your behalf."

I have culled mine all the way down to about 14 I know I use daily, also deleted all the pictures of prizes other people tagged me in.
I hate tag comps!

Does deleting all your apps means that all your entries into app comps are cancelled out?

I didnt think of that - eek, but If I am honest most of mine were from the Advents (Some 6 months+) - Maybe only delete the ones that are more than 2 months old?

It cant hurt to clean up the old ones can it - just incase.

I only delete apps and posts on my wall well after I know the comp has closed and a winner drawn.

I use my Facebook account for other things, so competitions only make up a small number- also I always put the companies in various interests lists I've created and check regularly.

Looks like FB has taken a hammer to crack a nut.
