Cheap oil will ruin your fuel consumption? How?

If its the correct grade then it will be much of a muchness. Increased wear will depend on how often you change it.
Changing a cheap oil more often maybe a better option for some.

  • Oil threads go on for miles and miles on all car forums.

Safe to say all oil, of a certain standard B2/B3 etc. has to meet those standards, its not the 80s anymore!

Ok, so halfords drop in garage, with magnatec semi synth for £35 isnt too bad either! it exceeds the Selinia 20 oil specifications too.

I just never seem to get round to doing it myself in this weather!

I always use National, you can usually find a £10 voucher knocking about on the web and I get 6l of fully synth castrol & fuel filter for about £35.

Usually, you get another £10 voucher with your receipt so it's always £35.

Its always best to use a good quality and correct grade and specification oil for your car and a good quality oil filter, the cheapest is not the best option ever, especially with modern diesels
