I was in denial that I was depressed - I just thought I was a bit down, not taking an interest in life, going through the motions etc -that was until I was diagnosed with moderate/ severe depression and anxiety by the GP, since had a form of therapy and pills and feel quite super now.
Please, please speak to your gp before it gets worse. I do something called 'moodscope' nowadays which is great for dissecting your mood but in an easy and informative way, might be worth a dabble. As the OP said - good deeds are surprisingly mood boosting, even little things like letting someone behind you in the checkout queue go in front of you when you've got half a tonne of shopping and they have a packet of biscuits is rewarding!
And get outside, go do fun random stuff, make new friends, start a new hobby - anything to break up the monotomy.I love food, hate waste and have a penchant for sparkly things ::D
