Unless of course the reason for doing so is to mislead bidders. Not that you would T_R, but it could be done........

Perfectly possible and too easy for fraudsters looking to give a degree of added authenticity to scam auctions... ie Laptop sellers.

Q.
Having bought a great laptop from you before, can you tell me if this laptop has blah.

A.
Great to see yet another repeat customer, and yes, this laptop has blah.

lol. That's pretty easy to check up on. And I don't think the scammers are that clever ;)

anyway getting off track. Just looked through ebay's "contact us" section and couldn't see how your listing could be reported. Given that that's the only way ebay would find out I think you're pretty safe :)

You're joking - scammers are more clever than the people who they scam.

That doesn't necessarily mean that the scammers are clever however ;)

How could you mislead them by asking/replying to a question that you couldn't do by revising the listing?
As tojo pointed out above, it's not the content of the Q & A, rather the fact that it lends an air of authenticity. Unfortunately, some people still believe all they read on Ebay.
I haven't been asked to tell you that I'm the Board Drunk for this board. As the night wears on, my posts will become worse, with simple spelling mistakes, inane ramblings, and a blatant disregard for the truth. I have no authority to do anything, so there's no point asking or telling me. If you see me past midnight, please tell me to get my coat and order me a taxi.

Is that with the same ID (asking and selling), or two seperate ID's?
