Question For Seller : Is Asking Yourself A Questiion Permitted?

Before you start scratching your heads, the answer is.......... Don't Know, or rather that is the answer from EBay.
Rather than add some info to an auction that was going very nicely thank you, I decided that the info would be better presented as an answer to a question..
Example:
Q.
Is there an earpiece c/w microphone included for this phone?
A.
Yes. It is not pictured, but the unused earpiece c/w mic will be included in sale.
So I asked EBay Live Help..... Can I use my Buying ID to ask my Selling ID a question?
And the upshot after much debate was........... Don't know.
Not a very informative thread then really................. is it?

If is it giving further information about the auction I cannot see why it is a problem really, I would have thought as an after thought its helping someo one decide if they will bid or not.I wished upon a star tonight that I would see you once more,
To hold you in my arms and tell you how much I love you,
To hear your voice, to kiss your cheek oh for just one more time,
But all I have are memories and a heart full of love and tears.0 -

Why not just amend your listing to give anymore information??0

Just personal preference. I like to see sellers responding to questions, and I just thought at the time of asking, that additional information supplied after bidding has commenced, was better presented in the form of an answer to a question. The MSE Dictionary

I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be allowed to ask your selling id a question?0

As the night wears on, my posts will become worse, with simple spelling mistakes, inane ramblings, and a blatant disregard for the truth. I have no authority to do anything, so there's no point asking or telling me. If you see me past midnight, please tell me to get my coat and order me a taxi.

How could you mislead them by asking/replying to a question that you couldn't do by revising the listing?0 -

OK..... You're Crazy!!.......... Of course doing it will not be an issue..... The issue is the legality in EBays eyes.
