Axolotl - lovely....
Jo - that cat would not by any chance be Macius'es brother, huh?
Just picked him up from the drainer on the sink.. (and dishes from the floor) - masses of clear worktop to jump on but nah, Macius will jump right on top of plates etc that are drying.. sigh.....0 -

Could be.
He's getting huuuuuge though. Nearly Fred size, huge shoulders, but with feet as big as Teddy's. he's the reason why the kitchen is so tidy, he'd just demolish it if I left anything out. That and he never seemed to get the memo that cats are not allowed up there. So I have to keep it tidy and bleach lots.
Thinking of getting him a tall scratching post thing tomorrow. I may regret it.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Tell me about it - big kitchen table, empty apart from say one cup of tea or an ashtray.....
Any other of my 4 will jump on clear of whatever may be on the table.
Macius? Right onto the said cup of tea or ashtrey...
Weirdest thing - he jumps up always higher that he needs to than lands on his back leg first and then slides on... sigh...
No brain in there at all BUT so much love from that cat. Loving purring fluff ball....0 -
1. bi orbs are awful. One thing to bear in mind is not to fill them too full as you then limit the surface area of the water which in turn limits the oxygen exchange.
2. As someone who has kept marines for years i woulod strongly suggest you don't even attempt it until you have some general fish keeping experience. They are not easy or cheap to do properly.
Have a read of www.ultimatereef.com if you want to get an idea.
With marine, the smaller you go, the more unstable the water paramenters will be, and the harder it is to keep everything alive. Margins are very fine
This is good advice, I kept tropicals for 15years before having a stab at marines and I found it a very challenging and expensive exercise. the marine fish and creatures are amazing but boy do they require commitment and cash.
Finding Nemo has done the marine world no favours at all, lots of fish have died at the hands of inexperienced fish keepers which is a great shame given the vast majority are wild caught. Very few marine species will breed in captivity. What a waste.0 -

This is a cat who, despite having a set of steps to get to the windowsill in the living room, also has a beanbag on the floor at the other end to act as his crash mat when he inevitably falls off at least once every day and night (he did it last night when he woke up to realise a fox was sitting under the window outside looking up at him). Who falls off the kitchen table and has completely stacked three times today trying to get onto the top of the freezer. And has fallen into his water bowl on numerous occasions.
But still keeps on hurling himself around the place, and occasionally actually looks like a proper cat when he's ack-acking at the birds outside. And is currently taking up more room on the sofa than I am.
Yeah. Him, vivaria, warm tanks and little things what bounce, swim, wriggle or scuttle. Whatever could possibly go wrong here?
They would be fine...you can get locking vivariumsIf women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -

That could work.
As long as Dizz is the one locked inside and the other are pootling around the house.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0
