:j Just received a letter from Genworth, re my PPI claim against Debenhams. Store card activated Dec 1997 and was closed June 2003. Santander refused twice to deal with me, nearly gave up, so glad i stuck with it, with the help of the financial ombudsman.I am waiting for my cheque! ... £1839.99 THRILLED TO BITS. Advice to everyone else keep going dont give up !:rotfl:

Well done i had my cheque from them also a week ago . i went via FOS. It pays not to give up might wait a while but worth it. Well done and congratulations. Out of interest did you complain through FOS or direct to Genworth after Samtander had rejected your claim?0

Hi Toddle2u, Yes santander rejected claim March12 i sent it to FOS straight away , they got in touch with underwriters being Genworth. I got a settlement cheque just over a week ago. So if you have a claim in with them good luck.Takes time but worth it.:oWell done and congratulations. Hi sorry to jump on the back end of this thread. I had a couple of store cards and have made complaints to Santander however they have stated that I can not take the case to the FOS as the cards were sold through Santander Cards UK and they were not regulated prior to 2005. I have accepted this decision but now seeing this I wonder if I have the right to take this to the FOS, could anyone please help with this? Many thanks!!!0

I'm claiming for a Debenhams card for ppi sold in 1998 through till 2009. They rejected me immediately but I feel I have a solid case. I think I'll go to the fos now. Any advice?0

I got refused from the company santander advised me to go to, they stated it was too old to claim 1998? How do I go about speaking to the FOS? Is it just a case of ringing them or forwarding all correspondence with a cover letter? Any advice much appreciated as I've never done this before0
