Hmm you said the job you get has to last two years but not the case if you have been on the WP 18mths and get a job that lasts a year or even 7 mths.
It really makes no sense to travel so far to the WP as one of their motos is 'they understand the local job market' where you are not even local
I said yes, the job can last less than two years, I did correct myself did I not.
And yes it does make sense to travel so far as your local travel areas is within 90 minutes by public transport from home. You can travel 14 miles in less than 90 minutes so it is local. Many people travel more than this each day to work.0 -
14 miles to mine and back takes 2 hours actually on a bus for a 10 min appt that is pointless.I said yes, the job can last less than two years, I did correct myself did I not.

I never said I wouldnt travel to a job futher away as I used to do 60 miles there and back on a tube!!
They talk to people there as if they want to work 'local' to the office and I was asked 'would you work in London' to which I replied 'is that a trick question'??!!
I live in East London and the WP is in Essex where they are not used to dealing with people who actually travel to jobs further than 10 minsWe’ve had to remove your signature. I'm lost on your point. You are on the work programme so been unemployed for more than 12mnths, so I would have presumed any help you would be grateful of. As to whether the work programe is helpful is another debate.
Many people do not want to travel to work, also may do. Each area has a majority and minority of customers for any given topic. We could talk about job goals, travel to work area, race, average age, average anything and it will vary across the country.
There is always two side to every argument and many people will debate on many topics, ours in now moving from the original topic. Your experience of the work programe will be different form the next persons and so we carry on again.
I wish you luck with your job search, I hope you find sustainable work soon and then your time with the work programe will come to an end, best wishes.0 -

They can not make an employer interview you so they are no help when an employer says you are 'out of work' and wont interview you or 'over qualified'We’ve had to remove your signature.
