if your boss was a friend or family member you would no doubt get stick from you fellow workers.
not a good idea imo.
Not sure about this.
Other members of staff are aware of my friendship and had no stick from them. If anything, because of my friendship, I've had to ensure that my ability to do the job is never questioned.
Perhaps at the end of the day it just boils down to the personalities of the people involved.2014 Target;

I'm on the side of the anti brigade here too. A business is there to make you money first and foremost, if friends or family require sacking you will end up giving them extra chances you would't give a another employee.0

i have never had any problems really with friends as i tell them in advance not to mess me around and with family i would always give them the opportunity over others. my partner is a real professsional builder and has always gone out of his way to do more work (throwing in lots of freebies for family/friends) so i thought it was still bad of my dad. would you give your daughter or daughter's boyfriend or son or son's girlfriend/partner work over someone you did not know if you thought they were ok?0

I have never worked for family members but two of my brothers are managing directors of companies and both have no family employees rules, they have employes nieces and nephews for casual summer jobs but wouldn't take them fulltime and permanent. I have worked in a team with half of a couple where the team leader was the other half of the couple and the rest of us couldn't help thinking sometimes that he had an unfair advantage.0
