legz890 I do exactly the same as you as I have a nice car which I take pride in and have already had it ding'd and scratched by ignorant, thoughtless people in car parks. These days when I have my little one in the car I just park in parent & child spaces, no problem. Otherwise I often park across two spaces, usually out of the way of everyone else like you. I know a lot of people who do this, ignore all the troll warriors.

If it's a pay and display car park, I buy two tickets and have never got a penalty yet, if it's not PaD I just do it anyway and take a chance. If I get a ticket I'll just pay it maybe, it costs less in the long run than the hundreds I've already spent on having repairs done over time.

    :)
