Change the network name and password. I'm not sure what to do about the rest, but that should at least stop it if that was whatl happened.Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.- Mark TwainArguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.0

Thanks, I reset it the other day but because I'm on an iPad and not a computer I can't work out how to change the network name. Really worried though at the minute

You also need to change the administrator log on which is usually standard or on a label on the bottom of the router. MAC filtering also helps by only allowing users authorised to log on.0

Unfortunately your broadband, your responsibility for how it has been used \ compromised. covers all aspects of possible usage from movies & music through to inappropriate p**n...
Look through the configuration tabs for the router, and somewhere it will have the SSID name (which will match what it is currently called), change that & reconnect - hoping you remember what the password is as you will then have to redo the settings..0 -
Thanks for the help0

Try entering 192.168.0.1 or http://routerlogin.com/ into your browser address and see if that opens the router's home/login page.604!0 -
If you can't find the manual for the router, google the model number and manual (or go to the netgear site, under support and look for the model), and it should be easy enough to find the manual online.
I'm not sure about the netgear, but I have found some routers that have an annoying tendency to lose settings after a powercut (usually older ones).0
