asda nappies, any good?

With the arrival of twins in oct/nov i am starting to stock up in advance with nappies. (maybe i should be using resusable, but the thought of double washing/soaking, doesn't appeal, sorry!)

With my 2 boys i have used pampers, huggies, boots depending on offers on. I Ventured to asda today and was impressed with the price of their newborn "new arrival" nappies 24 for £1.74 (yellow pckt suprisingly similar looking to the pampers ones!!) Have brought a pack, but wondered if anyone had experience using them on their bubbas, before i go and buy a shed load and find they're rubbish etc!

I tried them about three years ago when my youngest was born and I was not overly impressed. I preferred the nappies from Aldi. Best female friend has just popped a sprog, she is using boots own and collecting points

    Hi Clarew

I used ASDA nappies from day 1 and found them really good. I also tended to buy those that were on offer however i found that ASDA was the best sfollowed by TESCO. They do tend to be a bit bulkier than the leading brands though

Personally I think it depends on the shape of the baby - ds was 5lb2oz and really skinny, and pampers seemed to fit him better than the others. When he was older and changed shape a bit and when he was standing, others seemed to fit well too. You could always try cheaper ones during the day so that you can see, but have some higher quality ones at night so leaks don't interupt you or bub so much. Waitrose do some biodegradeable ones which are good if you want something in between.

    Heya

    Congratulations on the pregnancy!

I have used Asda's nappies but was not overly impressed, i found Tesco's a million times better and there approximatley the same price!!! I prefer these to pampers, huggies etc.

As for the re useabole nappy comment, i use re useables in the main and have saved my self a fortune! Nowadays you dont Wet pail. Take them off put them in a Dry bucket then do a wash at the end of the day! There really is no real extra hassle! Cost wise they are expensive to start, but call your local council they may offer an incentive scheme! Even better

Good Luck and love with the pregnancy x

I have always used ASDA nappies, and have no problems at all.

I actually think it is all about the childs body shape; what may leak on one child maybe fine on another because they are a different shape iyswim.

my daughter used asda nappys and had no probs, but they changed the design and she became very sore??
now we use tescos nappys and so far they have been spot on and a considerable saving compared to huggys or pampers :money:

I personally think Asda nappies are awful.

My dd is skinny and tall and I cant get a good fit on her at all. The tabs break off easily as well.

I use cloth and its really easy!
