Hi everyone,
I'm putting together a large gift bag of little presents for my nephew when he is born - baby toiletry essentials, small soft toy, clothes etc, but i would like to include a gift each for my sister and BIL. Any ideas please? Doesn't have to be big or expensive, more just something to show i am thinking of them as well as the baby!
Thank you.

Something they can pamper themselves with? It was such a luxury to have a bath on my own after my DS was born.0

I like that idea. That store 'Lush' saves me everytime I need to get a woman a gift0 -
I'm getting a Pedicure kit for my pregnant BFF ... she will be able to see her toes again soon!

You could do some homemade vouchers for a cooked dinner or babysitting when the baby is a bit older0

An insulated cup for mum, as in the early months it is hard to finish a cup of tea or coffee before it gets cold.
For dad, a collection of takeaway leaflets so he gets fed, and can feed your sister, when life gets hectic round dinner time in the early weeks?0 -

No offence 'cause I'm sure it's meant as a lovely idea but I would like to think my friends/family would want to babysit when the baby's a bit older, not just 'cause they gave me a voucher for it.
I know in the case of my family that it'd be a present for them (to steal the baby for a few hours) just as much as a present to me!My Debt Free Diary

Be careful on the Lush stuff. I find it's a bit of a marmite type of store. I really hate it, can't stand the smell from the shop and unfortunately someone got me a box of Lush stuff when I had my dd, I'm afraid it sat in a drawer for a while, then went out of date.
I like the coffee cup idea, or flask, cold cups of tea were a regular event for me. A flask would have been perfect.MSE Forum's favourite nutter :T0 -
I bought my friend, who is expecting, some bits from the 'mama bee' range from Burt's Bee, lovely treats for a mum to be!
Obviously I had to buy some bits for 'baby bee' at the same time! X0 -
My BFF had a hard time when she had my lovely Godson. I cooked 5 meals for her and her DH which could be frozen and had accompaniments suce as micro rice and quick cook pasta, garlic bread etc. Also fresh fruit pre prepared, pre-prepared salads etc. Said was a god send too. When we took it round she was still in hospital and we asked her OH if he'd already stocked up food wise. He stood there in his PJs bless him and held up a pizza and said "I'm a bit drained" (he'd been at hosiptal for over 2 days straight) so that went down v well!Married the lovely Mr P 28th April 2012.
