in Credit cards
All I wanted was a copy of my credit report, so I ordered it only to find out this morning they've charged me £8.99!!!!! I KNOW I only authorised £2 for the report which I STILL have not received!
I'm soooo annoyed, currently I'm on hold............

Did you sign up for the trial? It gives you 30 days to cancel. I used it last month.

Yep, sounds like you signed up to their £8.99 a month credit monitoring service rather than the one off £2 statutory report.0

If you use this link and don't stray off the path, it's only £2

They did that to me as well last year! You can 'ask a question' online and state that you are 100% sure you only requested a statutory report and you have been charged for an £8.99 subscription, and they will refund it and give you the correct product.
I think when I did it, I first put the 8.99 product in the basket by mistake, then removed it, went back and clicked on the 2.00 product, when i checked out it charged 8.99... basket can get confused.
If I recall, the website just asks you to confirm purchase, rather than confirming purchase of £2.00 or £8.99, therefore if the basket gets muddled you will not know about it until you are billed. It's confusing and i'm sure they have to issue refunds for it all the time.0 -
At no point whatsoever do I recall signing up for £8.99 service, I definitely clicked £2.00 stat report! The lady on the phone cancelled my so called subscription and promised a refund!
I'm still waiting for Experian to send me my pin via post, it's been 3 weeks now, I've also complained, SIGH!!!!0 -

Incidentally, if you call to cancel, they'll probably offer you a discounted subscription. I'm only paying £3.49/month for unlimited online access to credit reports0 -

Having had numerous nightmares trying to get their free trial because they seem to have difficulty in accepting I am me and expecting me to supply endless copies of passports and bills etc. So I decided now about 6 months later to request my Statutory report for a fee of £2..........
Or so I thought!
I filled in the form, put my card details in and pressed the button once, which generated a reference number and said my card would be debited £2. Now call me sceptical but I then logged onto my bank to find there is 1 pending transaction for £4 on my account. Having been onto online banking earlier to pay a credit card bill via faster payment, I know there were no other pending debits waiting to come off, so it now appears good old Equifax have managed to !!!! things up again!
I have emailed them and await there response with baited breath........0
