Does anyone think i can claim for compenstation?

Flight from London Heathrow to Rome-

Delayed 32mins as passenger was late so they had to take the luggage off but made up 2 minutes in the air.

Flight from Rome to London Heathrow-

Delayed 50 minutes due to aircraft coming in late from london due to weather.

Flight from London Heathrow to Manchester-

Delayed aircraft arriving from Manchester, so late turn around.(55 minutes)

So 3 delayed flights and to top it all off i get to manchester sunday night, wait 15 minutes for my luggage to be told it's not coming! The excuse is due to all the other delays!

All this led to me taking a taxi home at the cost of £139 as both flights (rome to london, and london to manchester) were late i missed the last 3 trains home.

All i want is my taxi fare back. British Airways are saying it was out of their control blah blah! Its perfectly acceptable for me to wonder around the airport at 11.30pm on sunday night and to ask the cleaner for help because all staff had gone home.

I have complained and been told final decision is tomorrow and i cannot take it any further.

Pls help!

There's no legal recourse for a claim Thea, only a gesture of goodwill if it appears.

Thanks for replies. After initially saying no BA have taken pity and are covering the cost of the taxi. Last time I take a Sunday evening flight.
