Thanks Listerbelle! I will spend some time reading other reviews so I can get the hang of it better but thank you for your helpful advice :)

lol I know but I wanted to wait until I had something good to review, and I just bought a new cooker!
I have also reviewed a book now - that will probably be my favourite part of the site as I love reading.

Does anyone have any tips about writing good reviews? I have read the instructions on the site but if anyone here has any advice please let me know :)

Read loads and loads of other reviews and you can then see what is a good, bad or indifferent review.

Cnstructive criticism is just that and shouldn't be taken to heart.

Hope you enjoy the dooyoo addiction :D

  • If anyone wants to add me, I'm Shellie1210. It took me a while to get into it, wondering how people were earning so many miles so quickly, but I think I've now got the hang of it and have earned about 4,000 miles in the last couple of days. It still takes ages to return all the ratings though, especially those who have written really long reviews!

I like writing reviews on Ciao and Dooyoo but haven't had the time to write them much recently. I claimed £50 into my bank account recently (rather than Amazon, that I'd usually use, but I needed the money instead this time) and I was told I'd have to wait 8 weeks to receive it! Does anyone know if it actually takes that long? It seems like a very long time to me!

The first cash out usually takes somewhere between 6 - 8 weeks. The bank transfers usually arrive somewhere between 21 and 29 days after cash out (I've had about £1000, give or take a bit since they changed to bank transfer). I do find they slow down over Christmas and sometimes during the Summer holiday but the bank transfers are much better than the days of cheques. If the two people that needed to sign the cheques were away we just had to wait, then they would muddle the cheques up, put the wrong names on or just send them out unsigned. It happened so much that at one point I figured they were having financial problems, but it turned out everything was fine.

I am no longer a new member so have been on Dooyoo now for a month - I have only written 2 reviews the last 2 weeks but wrote 17 reviews for the first two weeks! I haven't gone off it, I just don't have time to be on it all of the time. In terms of miles I am just shy of 20,000 (£20) for very little effort considering how much time you can put in to earn that much on Swagbucks or other survey sites.

Yes, it makes sense that they'd slow down at certain times of the year. £1000 from them seems like a lot of money to have, so at least I know they definitely pay if you've had that much! I'm looking forward to receiving the first lot of cash from them!

I'm sulking. Both of my reviews were rejected, one because they said it was too much like a forum post and the other for not being professional enough.
I might redo them later in the week, if they're not to standard then I'm giving up.

Did you mean to post this here? Dooyoo don't 'reject' reviews, just lock them if they are below par.

I've had quite a lot more than that but I've been writing on Dooyoo on and off for 5 years :)
