It's a tough one, I'm in the same position. I'm well on the way to my next cash payout but based on the last one I claimed, even if I wait until i reach 50,000 there's very little chance it would clear before Christmas.
I've never claimed an AGC, are they quicker?
I know its a bit sad, but I thought I'd make a note of the "reviews read in the last week" stats on the site, and this week its running around the 20,000 mark, last week it hovered around 33,000. The site is getting much, much quieter0 -

Yeah I took about 8 weeks to get to the half way point and xmas is 10 weeks away so getting a pay-out before xmas is slim having said that following on from your last question AGC takes around a week to be available. When I got my first I think it took 5 days but I'm told its usually within a week as they issue them every Wednesday? I might give myself another month see how Im getting on, if Im finding stuff I want on Amazon as xmas gifts and not enough vouchers I will cash out but lets see how I get on!:money::rotfl::T0 -

Funny you should say that because when I was on at the weekend, I actually thought there were quite a few people on line who I'd not come across before. I was wondering if the site would get busier in the run up to Christmas?
btw I'm sticking out for £50 cash pay out. Hoping to get there by the end of Nov.0 -
One day the stats were down to just 18,000 reviews read. I am not sure what to think of that as in the past the stats have malfunctioned more times than I can remember and for months they didn't work at all.
I received about 300-400 rates last week, with only one new review posted, and I fail to believe that 2% of the weeks rates went to me when there are much more prolific posters at the moment...
Who knows?! I hope the stats are incorrect as it is a real shame that the site is getting quieter and quieter, I know that their overall rating of traffic for the UK has dropped considerably as I had a look recently.
I would say that if you can cashout for Amazon, there is always LOTS on there for Christmas and you'll get your vouchers with lots of time to spare as well. I am about £2 away from £50 and just lacking in motivation to write reviews. Managed a 100DM film review yesterday and watching a film now with a view of reviewing that too, made 600DM on the 100DM review I posted with my rates on that, and the other reviews people read while on my page.
Happy writing all and try and push yourselves to get a review up today or tomorrow, lets get some cash for Christmas! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
That's good to read, Katykicker. I'm still posting daily, because I'm still loving writing and reading the reviews, and the miles build up slow and sure. I can even live with the slow-down, but it's just worrying that something is really wrong at dyhq  I'm still relatively new to the site, have slowdowns like this happened before?
I also think maybe there is less of a need to incentivise writing as more people (non members) will be visiting the site doing pre-Christmas research regardless.0 -
Slowdowns do happen from time to time, sometimes at random times, sometimes during the school holidays when parents are busy etc. So don't worry too much, just hope that things will be fine
They have been each time before

I admit I've been quiet lately.... school holidays meant I didn't have time, then with school runs and poorly children I have just lost all motivation....but I'm trying to get back.... new review today and I'm working on the almost 200 reviews shortfall...I will get there in the end.
I'm up to £15 mark so think I'll cash out at amazon this time.... should get there soon I'm sure.DooYoo member christy940 (70,000miles),

Good to see a couple of posts on the community page today - video games open for suggestions, and a Halloween comp for scary movie reviews :eek:0
