I hereby give notice of my arrival on dooyoo.

    Hello everyone!!

Have had a quick gander around the site and think I like what I see.

User name, for some half-baked reason, is 'Confucius'.

Some rotter had taken Inferno, but my avatar will remain the lit match.

Will continue to read all the good stuff on this thread and have a proper concerted effort to suss it out when I get chance tomorrow. My brain is now on the daily wind down.

I am already thinking of gonad metaphors and similies.

  • Yowza, that's impressive! 1605 in just a week! I'm curious, how many reviews do you think it's acceptable to post in a day? I've seen some negative comments about 'churning', so I don't want to get in anyones bad books!

I've seen 1-3 at most. Usually 1 or 2 is fine - aim for one in the morning one in the evening. But if you don't care what the other users think of you post as many as you like :)

And also welcome to new users, both to dooyoo and this thread! :)

If you are starting up, I believe you get a free 200 points (or 2p) for signing up through a referral, so PM someone here.
  • I used to be really into Dooyoo, writing loads of reviews and rating loads too, then I got out of the habit of writing for absolutely ages. I went back for a few months, then just didn't have the time/energy to keep up with writing, and now I want to get back into it again, but I think I've got writers block lol!

I get that sometimes as well... I find it's alleviated by writing about something I have a really strong opinion of, mainly a book or a movie. Something you don't have to worry about specifications or making it sound interesting (like a tin of baked beans).
  • I like the look of this! Will sign up. Is there any benefit to any of you if you refer me? If so, let me know the details and I'll use your referral code or whatever. :)

Do people just use their normal email address for signing up? Can't imagine it results in lots of spam like the PTC websites, does it?
