Firstly I DO do like and share comps. They are quick, easy and fun and I have had some decent wins from them.
I was lucky that I could identify all but the first picture that came up, I do not have or want a mobile phone on my FB.
People who have been 'culled' today, compers, companies, crafters.... in other ANYONE who regularly likes and shares is a possible victim.
Have they been reported? No one seems to know.
All we can do is alert the companies that do like and share comps. But answer me this? How did FB get so big? Because people friend, like and share of course. So do I no longer like the beautiful necklace my friend made? Share the event I want everyone to know about? Share the lost dog/cat picture of a desperate friend? Share that charity link so people can know their help is needed?
And what are companies going to do? Even tab/tombola/ etc comps ask us to like and share. why? Because the companies run the competitions to get more likers, to get a bigger audience. So if we can't like and share why would they bother? This is much bigger than just losing the Like and Share competitions.

Mine was blocked too, mid morning ish today.
My account is real, I have no fake comping friends, only people I know, I don't have MSE in my name.

Really peed off to see how many people have had accounts blocked..

I had to go through verification twice so identifying 5 photos twice, but they were all real friends so was easy. Then made to put in my mobile number and verification code :mad:

Just a thought, is everyone that got blocked on the winners circle group maybe??

Mine has been blocked but it had MSE in the name so it was a bit of a give away, have set up another account so if you want a new friend please send a request to http://www.facebook.com/joan.prince.16 thanks in anticipation, more than one way to beat facebook.

No it's people from all over, mainly compers it seems but I've seen at least one small company affected.

This just happened to me too, luckily they the pics were all friends I knew.

Not sure if this helps but I dont have any "comping" friends as fb friends on there accept one who is also an actual friend, I am part of the winners circle however so maybe this could be a link?

I'm blocked now too.
It seems a bit strange that I got blocked after commenting in the Conned by Comps group that I hadn't been blocked yet, and was waiting for it???
Is it Facebook or a troll?
I just had to reset my MSE password too, coz normally log in through fb :mad:

I too failed the photo verification, I have no option for a text code? I added my phone number before I got blocked, just in case.

No way, that sounds as if people have too much time on their hands!

I got banned before Christmas, around Advent time, for about 30 days... it seemed to last a lot longer though.

I just had to do the phone verification thing I only use my FB for comps luckily so if it did get blocked for good I wouldn't lose much. Still doesn't answer the question, why is this happening? Just makes no sense.

I think I'll make a new one. There's not a chance in hell that I'll recognize any of my friends from the photo options they're giving me lol :rotfl:
