  • There needs to be another site like Facebook, but without the silly rules it has. Also it would be good if people could actually contact the team behind Facebook or its equivalent.

Then people would have to know about it and it would have to take off the same, but that would take years to get to the same level as Facebook.

Big thanks to all who post comps :T:beer:
  • I am convinced it must be to do with like/share/tagging. I am a comper and have FB but I do not do and never really have done like and share or tagging, nor do I allow anyone to tag me and fortunately my account seems to be OK as does my hubby's and my families and non comping friends.

If there is any good that can come out of all this is that hopefully this is the end of like/share/tag/vote comps!

No it cant be as I dont do l&s comps even if its a great prize I really want. Yet Im still blocked.

I agree in hoping it will be the end of those types of comps though.

  • Sorry another post from me, you're going to get sick of the site of Hello Kitty soon :rotfl:

I did a google before to see if there was another forum finding us all out and loads of people reporting our facebook in a troll kind of way and couldn't find anything.

How would they know? I am sure one of my comping friends who has been banned is not a MSE user. Likewise I am a MSE user and so far have not had any issues at all?

I bet this is happening because over the last week are so their have been loads of fake FB comps springing up claiming to be genuine pages from apple/playstation ect and claiming to have 65 ipads/playstations ect, that they can't sell because they have been opened so they are going to give them away, these pages or getting thousands of like's within hours of being created, and many of them contain a link that contains malware or pay per click.

My advice would be to stop entering FB comps for the next few days and then we can all see if FB have calmed down on the clamping down of FB accounts

  • What really annoys me is that I can't get through the verification - have had quite enough of Facebook anyway but can't even get in to permanently delete my account - so I'm still getting loads of emails from facebook friends - is there a data protection issue there - surely you must be able to delete your account when you want to....
:smileyhea Thank you to all that post comps - may the Comping Fairy return your time and generosity doubled!:smileyhea

it could be an app we have used? If I go and delete all my apps from the last week, would that mean any entries made through those apps would be lost?

Just seen one company say they've lost 100 ish users and thought it was something they said.. hopefully if more companies get involved in wondering what is going on the issue will grow and we will find out what has caused this.

I've tentatively just done 1 L/S as it was something I really fancied, hoping I don't get booted out again...
