I want to port a number to a PAYG, then port it back to new contract with existing co

I am currently with T Mobile, and would like to be able to stay with them as Dialaphone are doing some good cashback deals with them.

However, as I cannot port a number from one contract to another with T mobile, I am thinking of porting my numbers to payg phones, then porting them back to new contracts with T Mobile, taken out via Dialaphone.

Is this possible and how long is it likely to take?

The link answers some of my queries. I phoned both T Mobile and Vodafone and it appears that Vodafone PAYG will accept the pack code from T Mobile.

Then T Mobile will accept the PAC code to change the phone number onto a new contract.

T Mobile will not charge after the minimum term of the contract has expired, and Vodafone won't charge anyway, as it's a PAYG contract.

The only downside is that I would lose any remaining PAYG credit on my Vodafone PAYG card, so it would make sense to use one that has little or no credit on it.
