what level of signal strength/errors are you getting - an amplifier can improve things if it's low, and a £1 set top aerial may provide a better picture if you can point it in a different direction.
Agreed. I have a 20 year old low gain vertical array aerial that picks up all 18 digital channels from my local relay but also picks up 40 odd channels from a distant, horizontallly polarised main transmitter at about same signal strength predicted for OP.
So I guess OP may have significant installation losses. A new set top aerial may be the quickest/cheapest fix looking at OP's predictions:604!0 -
As a guide for the OP, we are in BD6.
With a non-amplified set top aerial upstairs (Which? Best Buy) we got all freeview channels but would get quite a bit of stutter on some of them.
We put a log periodic (Vision V10-40) aerial on top of a wardrobe (prior to roofmounting) as the wardrobe was roughly aligned with Emley Moor. There's absolutely no stutter now.0
