PVR little storage space left - what to do?

I have a humax PVR which is now almost full. I would like to keep a lot of the stuff I've recorded - mostly old films and music programmes and transfer them off it to free up some space. Any ideas on the most economical and practical way to do this please? Many thanks for all advice/suggestions from someone not very tech…

If you genuinely want to keep them, and you don't want just a 'raw' copy, with adverts and station intros and outcrops, get a combined HDD/DVD recorder, such as those made by Panasonic. Transfer from Humax to HDD, edit and tidy up, write to DVD.
