Plusnet Retentions

Hi,

I am coming to end of my 12 months contract.

Previously I paid 12 months in advance for the line + £11.49 for 60GB Broadband. According to their website I can upgrade to unlimited usage for £9.99 but have to sign up for a 12 months contract.

Has anyone contacted Plusnet to see if they can offer any better deal?

My friend was on 10GB plusnet out of contract. He contacted them when Sky offered him unlimited broadband for £7.50pm.

Plusnet gave him unlimited internet for £4.99 on 12 month contract.

Did you talk to Retentions or just the normal Customer Services? If you haven't used the MAC try phoning again but make sure you get put thru to retentions.A friend in our village phoned last week quoting a better offer from Sky and despite being on a Market 1 exchange, negotiated a much cheaper deal for 12 months -think it was half price.:)
I intend to try this route when my annual line rental saver deal ends in June.

this was middle of feb and i got through to customer options apparently, but my 12 months wasnt up until end of march so will try again this week, but not holding out much hope, and all we are not llu so very resticted, oh the joys of living in the countryside.

Had a much better conversation with them today, have signed up to them again, for 2 years !! they have offered me unlimited bb for £9.99 a month but i am happy with that given where i live.

we were paying £26.44 a month for the 60GB broadband package & line rental with plusnet when we decided we might leave for sky. we rang up for MAC code but ended up speaking to someone in retentions

he gave us the unlimited internet & line rental for £20.98 and fixed the price on the broadband for two years, any increases would only be line rental
and a new £60 router as ours was two years old

so it works out at £6.99 a month for the unlimited broadband
